What you’ll Do:

Teckro is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This role requires a good understanding of AWS services, Kubernetes orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and proficient coding skills. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to automate processes, deploy applications, and optimize performance. Your responsibilities will span various aspects of Cloud Infrastructure and Automation. You will actively contribute to brainstorming sessions, providing valuable insights to enhance our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Software Development and QA teams to facilitate the delivery of reliable and secure solutions. Foster collaboration by actively contributing ideas to improve our Architecture.
  • Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing by supporting peers, sharing best practices, and proactively documenting solutions and learnings.
  • Assist in developing services, controls, and patterns for cloud solutions to ensure security and privacy at scale. Implement and follow security best practices across infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring they meet standards through attention to detail and adherence to best practices.
  • Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to facilitate efficient software delivery.
  • Write automation code utilizing languages like Python, Bash, Terraform and configuration management tools.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, performance and overall application lifecycle.
  • Participate in incident response and resolution efforts, and actively take part in the on-call shift rotation, demonstrating a proactive approach to maintaining system availability.The Ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working in regulated environments is considered an advantage.
  • Experience contributing to platform or infrastructure initiatives in early-stage or scaling technology companies.
  • Strong understanding of software reusability, maintainability, and infrastructure modularity (e.g., reusable IaC modules, standardized CI/CD templates).
  • Appreciation for developer experience, with the ability to align infrastructure solutions to product and engineering needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while remaining transparent about progress, risks, and challenges.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence, reliability, and accuracy.
  • Growth mindset with eagerness to continuously learn and improve systems, tooling, and processes.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
  • Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, OpenSearch, Lambda).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
  • Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Proven troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, deployment, and performance domains.
  • Experience supporting or operating modern data platforms such as Snowflake or workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow would be a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline architectures, ETL/ELT processes, and performance optimization for data workloads.
  • Experience implementing security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated ownership of systems or platform components.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
  • Proactive problem solver who drives automation and continuous improvement.
  • Growth mindset with strong desire to learn and adopt new technologies.
  • Ability to influence engineering standards and lead by example.
  • 3+ years of experience across software development or DevOps environments
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in an appropriate field (Engineering, Computer Science, Science)
  • Experience working in international/multi-site environments

Location and Travel:
(Dublin)

  • Hybrid role - Dublin City Centre, Ireland, currently this is set to 2 days per week onsite.
  • Our Dublin City Centre offices are located less than 3 mins for Pearse St Dart Station and beside the Alex Hotel, making it accessible for all major transport.
  • We also offer flexible start/ end times, allowing your schedule to suit your lifestyle
  • Note: Regrettably we cannot offer work permit sponsorship for this role To be considered, you must currently be based in Ireland and already hold the necessary legal permissions to work here.
