Dave has established a nationally applicable pay program that recognizes that regardless of where Daves choose to live, their time and effort are of equal value to the company. As such, we utilize base salary ranges that are intended to be competitive in all markets and do not differentiate pay based on employee work location. Actual compensation will vary based on an individual's previous experience, skills and other relevant qualifications.
Who we are
Dave is on a mission to build products that level the financial playing field™. We believe in financial opportunity for everyday Americans because we all deserve a banking system that works for us, not against us. Our members hustle to make money work for them. They don’t need a hero. They need a system that isn’t designed to hold them down. That’s where we come in.
Why this role matters
Compliance at Dave is about more than rules; it’s about trust, clarity, and getting things right the first time. As Compliance Program Manager, you’ll be the advisor for our Product, Design, and Marketing teams. You’ll operationalize compliance frameworks that meet regulatory expectations without slowing innovation.
The foundation is there—strong legal partnerships, an advisory structure, and growing momentum on key initiatives. But with evolving Sponsor Bank obligations and increasing product complexity, it’s time to scale that system. You’ll bring focus, consistency, and foresight.
What you’ll tackle
Own compliance advisory across the product lifecycle by partnering from idea to launch to ensure compliance is built in
Translate regulation into action by converting Reg E, Z, B, DD, and more into product-friendly requirements in sync with regulatory counsel
Drive marketing compliance through review of materials and campaigns for clarity, fairness, and alignment with product requirements and Sponsor Bank guidelines
Enable Design teams—advise on presentation of disclosures, UX clarity, and dark pattern avoidance
Keep eyes ahead by flagging emerging regulations, identifying upcoming risks, and proactively influencing product roadmap decisions
Support continuous improvement through the enhancement of tooling and workflows for advisory, approvals, and documentation
Collaborate cross-functionally with Compliance Monitoring, Legal, and UAT teams to streamline testing, rollout, and risk mitigation
Support risk alignment by contributing to risk assessments, quarterly updates, and corrective actions tied to testing outcomes
What success looks like
In your first 30 days, you’ll:
Get oriented across Dave’s product suite, compliance structure, and Sponsor Bank expectations
Begin meeting stakeholders across Product, Design, Marketing, and Legal
Start identifying gaps in existing compliance documentation, guidance, and approval flows
Shadow and support existing compliance advisory conversations to build context
By 60 days, you’ll:
Take the lead on compliance support for select product initiatives, with guidance from the manager and the legal team
Drive early-stage advisory conversations—flagging issues, shaping requirements, and owning follow-ups
Draft and iterate on compliance artifacts (checklists, workflows, tracking tools) to support consistency
By 90 days, you’ll:
Confidently lead product compliance discussions end-to-end, with support from leadership as needed
Be up to speed on Dave’s core products and risk posture—able to advise with minimal ramp time
Partner effectively with Marketing, Design, and Product to shape compliant experiences that move fast without cutting corners
What makes a high performer in this role
You bring structure to ambiguity and know how to scale systems without overcomplicating them
You’re a natural translator, equally fluent in product, legal, and compliance speak
You anticipate impact, not just requirements, and guide teams accordingly
You build trust by delivering thoughtful, timely, and practical advice
You help others shine by being clear, collaborative, and proactive
You’ll thrive here if you have
6+ years in compliance, with 3+ in product advisory roles
Deep familiarity with banking/lending regs: Reg E, Z, B, DD, UDAAP, FCRA
Experience in fintech or bank partnership environments
Strong working knowledge of tools like JIRA and Confluence
CRCM or equivalent certification preferred
Comfort in dynamic environments—quick to adapt, but grounded in risk discipline
Don’t let imposter syndrome get in your way of an incredible opportunity. We’re looking for people who can help us achieve our mission and vision, not just check off the boxes. If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply. You may just be the right candidate for this or other roles.
