Dave has established a nationally applicable pay program that recognizes that regardless of where Daves choose to live, their time and effort are of equal value to the company. As such, we utilize base salary ranges that are intended to be competitive in all markets and do not differentiate pay based on employee work location. Actual compensation will vary based on an individual's previous experience, skills and other relevant qualifications.

Dave is on a mission to level the financial playing field. We’ve helped millions of members access fairer financial services—and we’re just getting started. As Sr. Manager of Financial Platform Operations, you’ll lead the systems and partnerships that power how money moves through our ecosystem.

You’ll own day-to-day operations and long-term strategy across key infrastructure partners—processors, sponsor banks, and card networks like Visa and Mastercard. Your work will shape how we scale, reduce cost, and deliver great experiences for our members.

This is a hands-on leadership role, with high visibility across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Compliance. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to launch new products, manage risk, and continuously improve how our platform runs behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage critical partner relationships, including payment processors, card issuers, sponsor banks, and networks

  • Ensure operational excellence across all partner workflows—SLAs, performance monitoring, escalations, and root cause resolution

  • Enable product launches by supporting partner integrations and readiness for new capabilities and use cases

  • Own reconciliation accuracy and financial reporting across platforms to support compliance and accounting

  • Identify and implement improvements to tooling, processes, and partner performance to support scale

  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes and network rule updates—and translate those into clear operational plans

  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage cost structures to improve platform efficiency

  • Lead and grow a small team, setting clear goals and building a collaborative, high-accountability culture

  • Share insights with senior leadership and help guide strategic decisions across payments and infrastructure

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years in payments, fintech infrastructure, or banking operations

  • Deep experience with card issuing, transaction processing, ACH, and real-time payments

  • Strong track record managing external partners and vendor performance

  • Proven success enabling product launches and supporting go-to-market readiness

  • Financial and operational acumen—able to model costs, manage vendors, and improve unit economics

  • Experience with incident management, platform monitoring, and scaling operational systems

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, especially in ambiguous environments

  • Experience hiring and managing high-performing operations or vendor-facing teams

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks related to payments

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • You’ll own high-impact systems at the core of our business—and help shape how we scale

  • You’ll work closely with execs and senior leaders across teams—this role has reach and visibility

  • You’ll have the autonomy to solve complex infrastructure problems while improving how millions of people manage their money

  • You’ll be part of a mission-driven team that values transparency, curiosity, and thoughtful execution

Don’t let imposter syndrome get in your way of an incredible opportunity. We’re looking for people who can help us achieve our mission and vision, not just check off the boxes. If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply. You may just be the right candidate for this or other roles.
